Here in the Coachella Valley, it’s hot! And it feels like summer here most of the year… So these outfit ideas could be worn anytime really! I love when families ask me what they should wear? I love to help with this… I want you to look good for your photos, I want you to love everything about your photos! I want you to hang these images proudly on your walls at home, and love the way you look in them (individually, and together as a group)! So I hope these inspirational “what to wear” guides will help show you just how easy it can be!

The examples below are all ideas on how to coordinate a family, but the color combinations could work for anyone! If you’re a couple, taking your engagement photos, use the color palette inspirations for ideas on how to coordinate with your fiance. If you’re a high school senior, getting ready for your senior portraits, note how accessories and shoes can really add lots of color, and tie the whole outfit together!

TIP: Don’t be afraid of color! I just love these rich jewel tones (above), fantastic for a sunset photo session outdoors!

TIP: Notice the way mom’s dress (above) was the inspiration for everyone else’s outfit? It can be as easy as finding one great piece, and making sure all of the other outfits coordinate with that. (It could be mom’s dress, baby’s dress, or a great shirt on Dad ~ easy!)

TIP: I love this “fresh” color palette, it looks so light, bright, and fun! Notice the way mom’s jewelery and baby girl’s shoes tie in all the colors? Great way to “pull it all together”! Also notice the use of the neutral color grey to keep things from looking too wild.
