cute San Diego beach baby photos

Baby Matthew was due for his next {baby plan} session this summer and it just so happened that his mommy & daddy were going to be in San Diego at the very same time me and my family were going to be there! So we thought it would be super fun to schedule his next session at the beach! He’s sitting up now, even trying to stand, so we knew he would be adorable in the sand & sun…

The weekend of our planned photoshoot we headed out to the beach, but shortly after we arrived in San Diego the forecast started to change… the clouds started to roll in and the chance of rain was high… it was the weekend hurricane Dolores hit SoCal, uggh! The day of the shoot the skies opened up and the rain came down, in buckets, literally… There was no way we could even attempt an outdoor session with this little guy that day, we were all so bummed!   

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our shoot planned that weekend, but luckily it worked out that both of our families would be back in the San Diego area on the same days again a couple of weeks later, so we scheduled a re-shoot! A second attempt at the sun & sand pics we were hoping for… This time, it was a beautiful day, and the sun was shining, and there was no sign of rain in our forecast!

Baby Matthew loved playing in the sand, and was so intrigued by ocean sounds. We had scheduled the photo shoot in the later afternoon/evening in hopes that baby Matthew might make it for some sunset photos, and the shots we got at the very end were some of my favorites! I’m so glad it all worked out, he was adorable, and they’ll have these fun photos to look back on and enjoy! <3
