My heart breaks for all of my Newborn & Maternity clients that have had to put their photo sessions on hold right now. I know things feel crazy at the moment, but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you’ll have to miss out entirely on these special photos – it just means we have to be patient & we have to be safe…⁠

I have been a Coachella Valley family photographer for more than 12 years…

I have been photographing mamas & baby’s for about 12 years now and safety has ALWAYS BEEN a big part of what I do because I am always working so closely with your brand-new babies, even preemies & NICU babies that have just come home from the hospital.

I stay current with the recommended vaccinations and get my flu shot every year – for the safety of both your family and mine! Top health, cleanliness, and hygiene have always been a priority, so I want to reassure you that I am prepared to take all precautions advised by WHO + CDC so that my littlest clients and their families are ALWAYS protected.

Your family’s health and safety are the most important!⁠

You should take comfort knowing that I have always been a low volume photography business, I work alone, and all of my office work & editing is done from my home office. The following is standard for each session:

• ONE NEWBORN PER DAY – I only schedule 2-3 sessions per week, which means there is at least 24hrs between each session⁠.
• IN-HOME SESSIONS – I offer ‘studio style’ in-home portrait sessions. I bring everything we need to you! So you don’t have to leave the comfort & safety of your own home⁠.
• EVERYTHING GETS WASHED – After each session, all of my fabrics are washed and all props & gear are wiped down/sanitized⁠.
• CLEAN – I always wash my hands multiple times throughout each session and also keep my own wet-wipes and hand sanitizer on-hand while photographing your baby⁠.
• RESCHEDULE FOR ILLNESS – I will never photograph your baby/family if I am feeling ill, and I have always asked that clients contact me to re-schedule when their baby or family is not feeling well.⁠

SO WHAT’S NEW?
Here are some of the additional steps I will be taking to keep my sessions clean & safe: ⁠

Safety First

• MASKS – I will be wearing a mask throughout every photo session. I will also have extra masks available for those who want one⁠.
• MONITOR – I am monitoring my temperature daily. Before and after each session to monitor my health. ⁠
• SHOES – I will treat your home like I do my own… I will either remove my shoes or wear shoe coverings upon entering your home⁠.
• IMMEDIATE FAMILY ONLY – I will now request that only those family members that are being photographed be in the home/room at the time of the photo session to limit the risk of exposure. Sorry, no visitors!⁠
• NEW SICK POLICY – I will be asking that clients disclose and reschedule their session if any member of their immediate family is sick or has been in close contact with anyone who has had any symptoms such as fever, cough, runny nose, or vomiting. ⁠

I know this is not fun to talk about, but it is important, and I want you to feel like you can talk with me about any concerns that you might have before or after your session. As a mama of 3, and wife to a cancer survivor with a compromised immune system I do not take any of this lightly, we have to be safe.
