I often get asked how I get “my babies” to do all of these snuggly little womb-like poses? So I’ll tell you what the secret is… the secret is….. Milk! Yes! Babies love their milk! And a full tummy makes for a happy little babe.  

Babies are actually pretty simple little people, they like to eat (because they are growing so very quickly!) and they like to sleep! Your brand new baby will naturally want to sleep, a lot! So my job is to try to create and keep the most ideal conditions while we are photographing your little love, so that they will actually stay asleep during the session, and not even notice that they are being photographed! All of my blankies are super soft and comfy, we keep the room nice and warm, and stop for feeding & snuggling breaks as often as your own baby wants or needs.

Sometimes new parents worry “what if my baby won’t fall asleep?”… Well it has happened, occasionally I’ll meet a curious little babe that wants to stay awake and alert throughout the newborn session, it doesn’t happen very often though… I am pretty convincing when it comes time to put baby to sleep! Just ask any family that I’ve worked with before. Hey, they don’t call me the “baby whisperer” for nothing! So don’t you worry, I’ve got this! ;)
